Raw materials

PaonLin paint is mainly composed of 20 to 40% neutral mineral fillers based on calcium (in the form of chalk, lime or marble powder) or silicon (in the form of sand, clay, kaolin or talc), 5 to 25% organic or inorganic pigments depending on the colour, 20 to 40% organic binders (acrylic, casein), 10 to 20% water and a few additives in very small quantities

These raw materials produce a particularly durable, adherent and covering paint, which is intimately associated with its substrate, protecting and embellishing it.

Production

The paint PaonLin is produced in an artisanal way since 1934 in our workshop in Belgium.

The raw materials are weighed manually with great precision according to a formula adapted for each colour. They are then dispersed in a tank by means of a powerful grinder-disperser following a precise order, time and speed of rotation.

Once the process is complete, a well-dispersed and homogenised coloured liquid is obtained: the paint PaonLin.

The colour, fineness and viscosity are then checked for conformity. The paint may undergo a final grinding before being packaged.

Packaging

Our paints are available in various sizes ranging from 1 to 25 kg. All our pots are labelled, filled and sealed by hand.

We still use our very old grinder-fillers. These machines require a skill and dexterity that can only be acquired through years of experience, to grind, dose and cut the paint flow at the time of filling. In some cases, we also use a more modern pump filler.

Customised colours

PaonLin offers a range of very bright, bold colours from stock, ideal for painters and decorators who want the most saturated colours possible and who may be mixing colours to achieve other tones.

To enable you to enjoy the quality of PaonLin matt in the colour of your choice, we can also provide you with a customised colour, based on a colour code that suits you (RAL, NCS...) or based on a sample.

We also offer customised shades of satin and gloss paint from Ralston.

All our colours, both stock and custom, can now be ordered through our online shop.
